Power Factor Correction
Power factor is a very important phenomenon, which often goes overlooked due to lack of knowledge & awareness around the subject.
In essence, a commercial/industrial plant with a poor power factor, is likely paying significantly more for their electricity, as well as having a variety of other issues (electric motors/equipment failing quickly, increased burden on your supply transformer/switchboard/bus bars etc etc.).
The reason you pay more, is because A) supply companies know that a poor power factor increases the burden on their own network, so the penalise you for it (KvAr tariff on your electricity bill), and B) replacing equipment far sooner than you should be due to damage caused by poor power factor.

Our team are proud to be CEC (Clean Energy Council) accredited designers and installers of Solar and battery systems. We have provided solutions to many people across Victoria from basic metro grid connected installations, to fully Off Grid rural installations comprising of batteries and generator, and many other installs in between.
We pride ourselves on only using top quality racking, inverters and panels to ensure the overall quality of our installs are second to none. If you are after a cheap “in and out” solar solution, we are probably not suited for you.
